News API pricing
Every feature on every plan. Plans differ only in monthly searches and requests per minute, so you can start free and upgrade when your agents or apps need more volume.
Monthly search quotas reset on the 1st (UTC). Your first month and mid-month plan changes are prorated by the time remaining. MCP, REST and playground searches share your quota. All authenticated requests share your account's per-minute limit.

Billing questions
- What counts as a search?
- Each search_news or related_stories call, from MCP, REST or the dashboard playground, uses one search from your monthly quota. Listing sources, checking usage and reading the monitoring inbox don't.
- What happens when I reach my monthly quota?
- Searches return an error until the quota resets on the 1st (UTC), or until you upgrade. Upgrades apply immediately.
- Do MCP and the REST API have separate quotas?
- No. MCP, REST and playground searches share one monthly quota, and all authenticated requests share your plan's per-minute rate limit.
- Can I change or cancel my plan?
- Yes, from Dashboard → Billing. Mid-month changes are prorated by the time remaining in the month.
